These videos are sooooo worth the watch.

May want to use parent discretion the first time watching it though.

"Aba-dee-aba-dee-aba-dee, that's all folks!"

No, seriously...
Kemuel had his follow up appointment with his surgeon yesterday.  His left lower lung is filling in his chest space nicely.  His heart is right where it should be.   She told me he has graduated.  He never has to see her again about the CCAM.   I was happy and stunned.  I just assumed we'd still see her periodically for awhile.  Nope, just follow up with his routine doctor's appointments and that's it.

YAY KEMUEL!!  Praise YOU most gracious Father and may you glorify Him all the days of your life.

My heart is breaking for a new dear CCAM friend.

My Ob/Gyn helped me get in contact with a precious woman who was pregnant with her first little blessing.  A baby boy who also had CCAM.  It was as big as Kemuel's and this precious baby did wind up going to San Fransisco.  He was responding well to the steroid treatments and unexpectedly she delivered him prematurely.  He went in to the Lord's hands September 2nd.  Please pray for this family.  I can't even being to imagine what they must be feeling.  I just want her to know I'm thinking of her often.

Little Angel

I was given an angel to cherish and love,

So tiny, so perfect, a gift from above.

When I looked at his face in that ultrasound it was calmness I found

And that love seemed to spread to all he was around.

His love touched my heart like fine threads of spun gold

And I thanked God for giving this angel in my womb to hold.

But I did not know then that time was my foe

And too soon, with a whisper, my angel would go.

My heart almost breaking, a touch soft as lace

Seemed to wipe at the hurt as it coursed down my face.

I still have my angel to cherish and love,

Those gold threads now shimmer from Heaven above.

And though I can't see him or cuddle him tight,

I won't say goodbye, Little Angel, goodnight.

Dearest Penny-I don't have words to say, only my love from one Mom to another.  Just know you aren't alone as you continue to grieve for your precious son.

Da

Kemuel is doing fantastic!

I truly apologize for not getting on here sooner.  As to Kemuel, he is walking and talking and his needs are well met.  He only needs to go back to see the surgeon every 6 months.

He is strong and stubborn.  God prepared him with a spirit to match his trials.

I almost have to remind myself he was even sick.  Today I was filling out some paperwork and actually drew a blank when trying to remember what Kemuel had.  However, if you know me, you'd know that's not abnormal for me anyways. :)

Much love and thank you for those of you who've prompted me to post again.

In Him,
Da

Kemuel's doing fantastic!  His bandages are off, he's nursing like a champ and he seems to be making wet diapers, so I guess my milk supply was sustained!  Praise God.  His chest xrays at the doctors office show his little lung is filling in his chest cavity just nicely.  He's just as active as he was before and is taking to walking quite nicely.  He seems to prefer it which doesn't surprise me as he didn't like crawling on his knees and would often crawl on his feet instead.

Just wanted to share some pics of Kemuel's hospital experience.

Here's Kemuel going in the morning of his procedure.

Who are you and what are you doing?

My dear friend Fran helping Kemuel feel more comfortable while waiting in pre-op.  Yes, they have a little Corvette in pre-op for the kiddos to play in.

Fresh out of surgery. Sweet Angel.

Look at all those wires and tubes!  Shortly after this picture, Kemuel woke up and was combative and got himself all tangled in that mess.

Don't know how to rotate a pic, sorry.
Here we are doing what we did for the next 6 days.  Sat and waited.
